TCL is a lesser-known electronics manufacturer that has actually been making some very high-end television sets for quite some time. This model is forty-inches, and is only two-hundred and fifty-dollars. However, there is one big thing that sets it apart from most other television sets. It runs on a Smart TV operating system known as “Roku”, which was once a very popular media hub for television sets.

Benefits:
– The price is very, very good. For only two-hundred and fifty-bucks, you get a big television that has all of the Smart TV features you could want in a television. Even from some of the even less-known brands, you still usually have to pay at least four-hundred dollars or so. But, this one only costs two-hundred and fifty dollars.
– The 1080p resolution is very good. Coupled with a 120HZ refresh rate and you get images that are both seamless and beautiful, as well as crisp and vibrant. This is somewhat of a rarity when it comes to inexpensive HDTVs, so take note of it here.
– You have an immense amount of content and functionality at your fingertips due to the Roku TV interface. With just the press of a button, you can access a number of streaming services and television channels.
Downsides:
– Really, there is only one minor downside, and this may not be a downside to you at all. The picture quality is 1080p – it’s an HDTV – and as such, it is a bit dated compared to many of the newer models that are coming out. However, for most, this really isn’t a problem.

The TCL 40S305 is a fantastic television set that really has no equal. Great price. Beautiful picture quality. Not to mention an extremely simple and easy to use interface that allows you to access the channels and streaming services that you want.
