Specs
Processor: Intel Core i5
Memory: 12 GB of RAM
Storage: 1 TB SATA
Screen: 23.8 Inches
OS: Windows 10
Benefits
The large 23.8 inch display is a great way to enjoy entertainment or even to use when crunching numbers or working on that last minute project. The picture is Full HD and provides a great viewing experience.
Acer has added about 50% more memory than many of the standard desktop models currently available at 12 GB. This combined with an Intel Core i5 processor ensures this model can easily handle a heavy workload.
Plenty of storage space is available due to its large 1 TB SATA hard drive.
Wireless keyboard and mouse is included along with a wireless charging base.
With a total weight of just 8.13 pounds this desktop is almost as light as a standard laptop which makes it surprisingly mobile for what it is and very easy to move from room to room as needed.
Downsides
The most obvious piece missing from this design is the a lack of an SSD. The 1 TB SATA does offer plenty of storage but at only 5400 rpm is a possible performance bottleneck. With the higher end price of this desktop we would have expected an SSD of some kind included.
Acer has not included a high end graphics card and instead went with a basic integrated option. This means that high end gamers will probably want to take a pass on this model.
Verdict
It may have its drawbacks but the Acer Aspire S24-880-UR12 is a beautiful all in one design that most consumers will love.
