The all new Dell Inspiron I5676-A696BLU-PUS is loaded with high end hardware and on top of that comes with a really nice design with the Recon Blue color. Below we are going to check out some of the benefits and downsides of this model and see if it is worth the price tag that Dell put on it.
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7-Series
Memory: 16 GB of RAM
Storage: 1 TB SATA
OS: Windows 10
Dell has combined the AMD Ryzen 7 processor and 16 GB of memory to make sure this desktop was very well powered. This combination of hardware will easily have you running high end applications without any fear of performance related issues.
As we mentioned above the Recon Blue case design is quite eye catching and a big improvement over the plan design we see in some of the other Dell models.
Gamers are well covered on this model as well with the Radeon RX 580 which comes with 4 GB of dedicated memory. This card should be able to handle modern games and their heavy display requirements quite easily.
Some things are quite impressive on this Dell setup while others have left us a bit disappointed. For a high end desktop such as this we would have really expected an SSD hard drive but surprisingly you won’t receive anything but a basic SATA.
USB ports are quite limited on this design compared to other desktops on the market. You will only find 2 USB 3.1 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports.
Similar to what we see in many laptop designs the optical drive has been removed from this model as well. For many that is no big issue but for some that still want to have the ability to use physical media this is a disappointment.
The Dell Inspiron I5676-A696BLU-PUS scores high marks when it comes to some of the key pieces of hardware like processor, memory and graphics card but lags a bit behind without the addition of an SSD.
