Lenovo is a Chinese technology company that is well known for their laptops and tablets. The Mirage Solo VR headsets were developed in a joint venture with Google.
Google has been driving VR in two ways, through Daydream, their Android VR platform and through WorldSense, their tracking system. The Lenovo Mirage is their first offering featuring both technologies.
The standalone unit is slightly more expensive than the Oculus models but does offer some advantages. The dual wide-angle cameras on the front of the headset allow for accurate inside-out tracking. WorldSense allows users a realistic VR experience as it tracks movements and allows users natural movement with a great range of motion.
