ASUS is a company that’s known for releasing multiple products that fit the needs of different people. This adds diversity to the market and suits the needs of many. Creating one or two products can leave people having to give up on some of the things they want. By releasing multiple products ASUS also guarantee financial success because people are more likely to buy their tablets as they find models that fulfill their needs best. The Asus Zenpad Z301MFA2GR is a tablet by ASUS that comes with a pretty neat display and a pretty decent battery.
Processor: 1.5 GHz Quad Core by MediaTek
Memory: 2GB RAM
Storage: 16GB with a microSD slot supporting up to 128GB
Software: Android Nougat
Back camera: 5 megapixels
Front camera: 2 megapixels
When it comes to tablets appearances do matter. No one wants to carry an ugly tablet and the Asus Zenpad Z301MFA2GR certainly isn’t. The device is 8.95mm thin and weighs 490gms make it both light and thin. Additionally the back is covered in a knit pattern making it extremely elegant. Perhaps the only problem with the design is the somewhat large bezels which seem unnecessary.
The tablet’s display is also pretty good. The screen is 10.1 inches in size and has a 1280×800 HD resolution. The 4680 mAh battery should last you all day or around 13 hours of video playback. That’s pretty solid for a device of this price and should fulfill your needs for the day.
We already mentioned the large bezels which make the device unnecessary large. Another problem that might inconvenience users is that the device runs Android Nougat which is already two versions behind the current Android Oreo. Personally, using an old version of Android is something I find annoying as people around me are enjoying the features that come with each update. Both cameras here are also truly lacking and it’s almost impossible to capture high quality images with either of them.
If you only need this to casually watch videos then this is a good option. If you’re interested in photography or having the latest software then you should look to more recent products.
